Global manufacturing is a huge part of the modern day world we now live in. Without global manufacturing everyday items that play a big role in our society and our own personally lives would not be so readily available or non-existent in our lives. Globally manufacturing helps to secure a lower cost, a more readily and stable to the raw-materials it takes to make these items, having access to new and emerging markets, and communication to many different places for sales. Another term that goes hand in hand with one another is the supply chain management, meaning a particular manager’s effort to make sure the flows of raw materials and information go through the right suppliers around the world. If a business decides to involve itself with different countries with their manufacturing, they must make sure each group i s coordinated with the other. With just one country and one group the information gets spread much easier and when problems arise they are much easier to fix and take care of because the source of the problem is much easier to find. With the option of manufacturing globally they are quite a few international ordeals to deal with, one being the exchange rate of money. With the right team on that task this can get taken care of very easily. Another that a company must focus on is the local culture and how the lay of the land of the area they are producing in. A company must be in fine tune with the local culture where they are producing to be able to understand how people work, the days and times that they work, and how they handle large or small scale plants being constructed on their land. Some international locals understand the business and welcome the company when the pay for their people is up to par. Many times with global manufacturing pay overseas gets dumbed down and many pe ople do not even make a livable wage.
